Season of mask

In Monday, our assignment was making two Paper Mache Masks. One must occupied our face and has same colour with our skin, another one is the face with emotion in black and white. "Oh my God!!" the student sighed, I remembered that I didn't settle the last assignment yet!!
With bad mood, I bought the material in shop. "Oh My God!!" I sighed again, so expensive, one pack of clay costed RM 4.60, luckily the shopkeeper gave me some discount.....
With the helping of my friend, clay is put on my face...... " eeeeeeee, so geli." , but I knew the white substance on my face is very expensive, so just keeping quit...Then, clay was dried by hair drier. The shape was so strange, I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES!! IT LOOKED LIKE THE FACE OF MONKEY!!
I didn't care about and taking my next step- putting a layer of plastic on the clay and put the paper on it layer by layer...Waiting mask to dry was annoying, but when I saw my product, feeling good.
Without wasting my time, I started to colour my mask, it was a hard job for me, because the surface is no flat. But I tried my best to do it already… I was quite satisfied with my product.

1st Day in HBP!!

Yesterday was the first day that I studied in HBP (faculty of housing, building and planning).Yes, as you expected; I am excited and imagined the situation in studio. When I am arriving the HBP with my roommate, I could see so many students were waiting HBP to open.
Then, our lecturer, Mr. Wan Burhanuddin opened the door and started our first class. He looked like a good old man, and explained the concept of Apex University that had realized in USM.
Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) has been granted apex status. With it, USM can expect hundreds of millions of ringgit in additional funding to transform it into Malaysia's first world-class university. The university that is given apex status is one that has the greatest potential among Malaysian universities to be world-class, and as such, would be given additional assistance to compete with top-ranked global institutions. USM will be expected to move up the World University Rankings with a target of top 200 in five years' and top 100, if not top 50, by 2020.
He said that we should be proud to be Apex Student, because we were chosen through Munsyi Test and interview. Then, he asked student that who was reluctant to study at here. A Malay girl stood up and said, she scared that after she rejected USM’s offer, she would not get any offer again in UPU, so she forced to come here. I thought that she should change her attitude. Anyway, we are USM’s student now; we should try to play our role as an Apex student.
Besides that, we needed six important factors to generate a production-intention, action, product, actor, rule and place, he added. In USM, student, studio masters and USM community are actors; they needed each other respectively in USM big stage.
The lecturer let other studio masters to introduce themselves; I tried my best to remember their names. Most of the studio masters smiled gently and gave us a kind impression. They encouraged us to pay extra hard work and attention at this sector. At that moment, I promised to myself, I will transform myself for the sustainable tomorrow.
At the end of the class, the lecturer gave us an assignment; most of the student looked shocked and depressed, I was the one of them. He wanted us registered a blog, and jotted down what we experienced in the first day in HBP.
At the 2pm, the class cancelled and the senior came in for briefing with us. They prepared a series of activities for us in this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All of us must join the activities; the attendance of us will be recorded. I thought it is a good experience but we need to pay RM36.Oh my god! It is too expensive. I looked at my poor wallet and sighed.
I realised that the university’s life need more money than I expected. Of course, it is just a new start; I will be a man after 5 years university’s life in future!!
